Bennett Teo –
Bought this pair of Dynamite with custom colour in Dec 2023 from another person, I wrote this review 9 months after but only got to post now.
Some background. Im in this hobby for more then 20years, experiencing budget to mid end system. From Mission, Psb, Focal, Sonus Faber to Aerial Acoustics. Always a 50/50 music / HT person, integrating both system together. Current Stereo all in one is a Devialet 220 pro ci.
Before the Dynamite, I was using Sonus Faber Olympica 3 and change to Aerial Acoustics 7T as it’s gives more bite to music, Sonus was too mellow for me, both pair with same amp, Devialet.
I had experience with Tekton before but in a sub 2-10. (Read customer review) The sub already gave me an idea what performance to price ratio I’m expecting, but I didn’t expect Tekton speaker gave me even a bigger gap. With just 5mins into listening to the Dynamite, I post my AA 7T up for sales, that’s how good it is. To this day, I have 0 regrets.
What stand out most in the first listen, is how open, pure, detail, organic, transparent the mid is. This is where the most magic happens, especially when listening to vocals, you just uncontrollably smile at it. The details are just phenomenal, you can hear everything so easily. Then I realize how AA7T can sound so “enclose” which didn’t occur to me before.
2nd thing I notice is how the high sound, comparing to other speaker I had, the tweeter “stand out”, sound “loud”, detail, but not in a way it call attention to itself. But it just makes you realize how much you had been missing. Suddenly even AA7T tweeter sounds mellow, muted. Tekton tweeter gives you the high highs, it sparkles but never harsh, actually it quite smooths. Maybe it’s the concentric of tweeter driver that enhance the lone tweeter sound but that’s just my guess.
3rd is the low mid, those 2 mid driver. It also sound markedly “louder”, it make bass guitar tune so much easier to follow and hear it, it punch you harder in the chest, it’s fast, but not dry. Tekton quote 40hz low, I don’t doubt it, as I cross over my sub 2-10 at 48hz, how many speaker can really cross over almost near the claim frequency cut off.
When I say “louder”, it doesn’t mean things are hype up, but because those details from the high to low are so much easier to hear, like the effect of you turning the volume up. All these effect doesn’t make the driver sound isolated, actual it sound very coherent, all drivers blend together so well.
I guess when the designer implement all drivers so well together, soundstage should be world class and it did. Image is spot on, precise. Soundstage, depth is deep, image is huge like a floor stand, width pass beyond the speaker when source is, height is good too. And more importantly the illusion of the singer in front of you is also world class.
Overall, the speaker has loads of dynamic, it attack fast, it rocks, it jazz, it can be aggressive and it can be a smooth operator too, and you will never have a moment when the sound make your face cringe but of cause feed a bad source and it will.
Conclusion. Cheapest of the bookshelves Tekton has, but it already out class AA7T in all ways which cost about 6-7 times more. Imagine what an encore monitor can do ;). It’s just so much fun to listen to. Dynamite with sub 2-10, you truly can call it end game but then, who in this hobby will stop upgrading :p btw, don’t because it’s cheap, you only can pair it with cheap gear, you can invest in good gear as though driving a $10k and above speaker.
Recently received a custom center, using one piece of Dynamite as center, am again very happy with it. Everything I wrote above applies to this center, but now with a matching center, the surround sound illusion is even more credible. It replace revel ulitma voice. Comparing, vocal sound more real, more upfront, more organic, very open, very detail. It replace revel voice 1. Reason I chose dynamite as center is due to the size, but yet it sounds big.
*I currently upgraded to encore monitor.
*there’s problem uploading picture.

Excellent bookshelf speakers. Very accurate and has great imaging. Quality and finish are second to none. I drive them using Peachtree Nova150.

My End-Game Speaker, finally!
This is basically a smaller and more affordable version of the Impact Monitor.
The overall sound is neutral with great soundstage.
The treble is detailed and NOT bright.
The midrange is natural and NOT veiled.
I cannot not judge on the bass, since I use a subwoofer. But when matched with a subwoofer all sounds like I imagine heaven would sound.
Great work Eric.

My End-Game speaker, finally!
This is basically a smaller Impact Monitor.
It is neutral with enough detail in a treble that is NOT bright.
The midrange is exquisite and natural.
The bass is good, but I always use a sub-woofer, so I cannot really judge here.
I have not heard a more balanced speaker, so far.
Excellent work Eric.
