It’s been about a year now since I first received my Electrons. They have grown on me during this time, and I have to say, that the Electrons really sound fantastic! There was a considerable settling in time, maybe in the range 2 to 3 months of listening, though a large amount of that time was low volume listening. I now get the sound I’ve been hungry for, whether listening at low volumes, or cranked up to approaching 100db.

I’m powering the Electrons with a 200wpc, class D amp, and I couldn’t be happier. The speakers are very efficient, the amp is barely warm to the touch, and the music sounds so good!

To me, musically, the Electrons seem pretty neutral. I do find that I like to use an equalizer to add some equalization to the mix, but that is something that I’m just getting back into after decades without using one.

The Electrons fit the bill perfectly in my scenario. They look nice either with their grills on, or off, and we love the custom color we picked! All in all, a great American made speaker!

There are a couple things that separate the Electrons from every other speaker I have heard. 1. Soundstage: Contrary to popular belief, Tekton’s are not super picky about placement. They have a big open soundstage that makes them disappear even when not in there perfect placement. 2. Lively Sound: If you want your music to sound like live instruments, these are your speakers. The midrange is nothing short of amazing and allows each instrument to be heard. Everyone who listen’s to them comments on how they hear things they never have before.
I was originally thinking about purchasing Double Impacts, but the Electrons don’t leave me wishing I had purchased the DI’s so that’s a testament to Eric’s designs.

Tekton Electron. They are better looking in person. They sound amazing. I’m upgrading from Enzo’s which I loved. The Double Impacts were too big for my room, so Eric made these for people who want something smaller. I have not heard the Double Impacts, but I’m in heaven with the Electrons. Bass, dynamics, and all the other words audiophiles like to use. They sound like a real band is playing in front of me, and that is the best complement anyone can give to speakers. I’ve been chasing this sound all of my adult life, and I spent a fortune the last 40 years. If you use your imagination and come up with a color, Eric will make it for you. My wife says they look stunning.

"Even though you may think of the Electron as a “DI-lite”, don’t dismiss them as bass shy…they are not! I’ve come to think of them as having a more “audiophile” balance in that their ratio of highs to lows trends towards a lighter, brighter perspective. The bass foundation undergirding the upper frequencies supports them firmly, but not as fully, as the DI bass does."
