Brilliance $3000 pair
I invite you to hear what you’ve been missing… In fact, hear what everyone’s been missing...
I created Tekton Design 11 years ago to showcase my loudspeaker designs. You need to know that first and foremost, my passion is loudspeaker design and new product development. I’m driven to innovate and create. I’ve been at this passionately for over 30 years now and I’ve designed over 60 commercially available speaker models to-date, many for other well-known companies. This is a truly exciting time for me personally and for Tekton Design! We invite you to join us. With 4 ‘product-of-the-year’ awards in as many years, Tekton Design is poised to truly raise the bar in audio once again.
Our revolutionary U.S. patent #9247339 (issued January 26th, 2016) allows us to literally align the moving mass of speaker cones to the harmonic spectra of the musical instruments being played. This means that, in theory, we’ve now made every other high fidelity loudspeaker on earth obsolete in one fell swoop! Again, I believe I can make a strong case for claiming that every other high fidelity loudspeaker is now obsolete or (for models that do try to mitigate moving mass) at least subtly obsolete. I’m quite confident in stating that we’re now producing the most accurate and best sounding loudspeakers ever built – period!
We invite you to judge for yourself. I personally guarantee there are subtle nuances and details contained in your favorite recordings that you’ve never heard until now and that is flat-out exciting for an audiophile or music lover! If you are a music professional, you cannot live without this new technology.
I truly believe our granted US patent to be one of the most exciting and inspired electro-acoustical patents to be issued in the last 50 years. A patent that proves that loudspeakers can easily deliver a linear frequency response yet still be woefully inaccurate because they cannot produce the overtones and harmonics contained in music and recordings. So again… I invite you to literally hear what you’ve been missing!
Until now, there has been an inappropriate mass relationship between musical instruments and loudspeakers. This exists within all past and current competitors’ speaker models, and it certainly includes the high-priced speaker models that cost more than new cars and houses! When the moving mass of the loudspeaker cone is greater than the musical instrument’s vibrating string, column of air, resonating surface, etc., it fails to accurately respond to the instrument’s subtle nuances, details, upper overtones, and upper harmonics. Loudspeakers are absolutely musical instruments and the music reproduced through high fidelity speaker systems cannot sound lifelike and correct unless the mass relationship between the speaker and the musical source is correct. The top 10 best-selling subwoofers of today happen to be extreme and blatant offenders.
For example: the plucked and resonating low ‘e’ note (41Hz) on a Fender Jazz bass guitar has a moving mass of 19 grams. The highest reviewed and well-regarded subwoofers of today have cones with an average of 200-300 grams of moving mass to reproduce the same low ‘e’ tone. This is the equivalent of a Formula One team showing up on race day with a special new race car that has 15,000 pounds of sand added to it! Our competitors are building subwoofers in this exact way today. A subwoofer with 300 grams of moving mass can only give you a dulled out response down to 15Hz. The laws of physics prove the subwoofer cannot be musical nor can it even begin to produce the harmonic spectra of a Fender Jazz bass guitar (or any other bass-producing musical instrument) – period.
Simply put, if the moving mass of the speaker cone is not the same or less than the original source (i.e. the violin, guitar, trumpet, etc.), the musical instrument’s upper overtones and upper harmonics when played back through the loudspeaker system will sound diminished, lowered in volume, progressively damped, and lower in sensitivity when compared to the original sound source or musical event. In my mind, I see this relationship as a mathematical algorithm and I design loudspeakers in a new and innovative way that keeps this in mind.
So what do these new loudspeakers sound like? Imagine being in a symphony hall with a dozen lights in the ceiling turned on and then having the ability to turn on 6 more lights at the flip of a switch. We all know what you get: better focus, more intensity, more energy, clearer views, and better discernment of colors, distances, and objects, etc. This is what I’m doing with sound.
The Tekton Design models and lines exploiting this exciting new technology are: Tekton Design Model 1812, Tekton Design Impact, Tekton Design Brilliance, and Tekton Design Rocket. All of these models are now available.
